Cemetery Location:  On Mulberry Island, 1 mile south of Lee Hall, on Route #60; 
                    thence .6 mile west on Route #259; thence 7.5 miles south on 
                    private road (Middle Island Road); on the east side.
                    City of Newport News, Virginia

DESCRIPTION:

The Fitchett Burying ground is situated in the old garden of the “Waterview” 
home.  Around the graveyard are lovely old trees, but the underbrush has grown 
up a great deal.  Honeysuckle vines are tickly entwined over the graves; this 
makes it very hard to find them.  There are nine graves; none of them are 
marked.  The Fitchett graveyard is not kept in a good condition.
