Cemetery Location:  On the right side of Armstrong Lane, half way between 
                    Newport News Highway and Armstrong Point.  1000 feet back of and on 
                    the land of “Joy Home”, owned by Fred Cock.
                    City of Newport News, Virginia

1801, date of oldest grave (marker).

DESCRIPTION:

There is no record of this burial plot.  There are several graves here, but only 
one stone standing.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

The following inscriptions were found in this graveyard:


This is the grave of a descendant of Thomas Curle, and grandfather of the 
present owner of “Joy Home”.

Sacred to the memory of
Jas. Henry C. Finch
only child of Jas. H. and Laura F. Finch
Died Dec 28, 1847
