City of Newport News, Virginia DATE: 1910, date of oldest grave (marker). OWNERS: Providence Ammish Church. DESCRIPTION: Providence Graveyard is situated in an open field. There are a few small shrubs planted. The graveyard is very small, having not over 10 tombstones. It is kept in fair condition. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscriptions were copied from the tombstones: Father Christian K. Miller Born Dec. 6 1859 At Maulbrum Wurtenberg, Germany Died April 19, 1910 Mother Abbie M. Miller March 12, 1840 June 17, 1928 In that beautiful home Will meet each other again Father Rev. Joseph Zook Born May 28, 1845 Died Oct. 7, 1918 Mother Sallie Zook Born Feb. 14, 1851 Died Jan. 27, 1928 Abraham K. Kurts Born Aug. 28, 1854 Died April 6, 1922 Husband William D. Longreer April 26, 1852 May 3, 1932 Samuel H.
