Bradshaw, 55*, Dies; Newport News Banker NEWPORT NEWS - Franklin Pierce Bradshaw, 55, assistant vice president of First National Bank of Newport News, died Tuesday morning in his home in Stratford Apartments. He was a native of Windsor and lived in Newport News many years. Surviving is his mother, Mrs. Gertrude D. Bradshaw. Bradshaw, who began his career at Central National Bank, Richmond, came to Newport News and joined Smelz National Bank, then went to First National Bank as a teller in November 1932. He was promoted to assistant cashier. Last Jan. 10 he was elevated to assistant vice president. He was a member of First Baptist Church. A funeral service will be conducted at the grave in Greenlawn Cemetery, Newport News, today at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Bruce Price of First Baptist Church, and the Rev. E. S. Gluver of Trinity Methodist Church. The body was taken to Riverside Funeral Home.
