Forrest, 78, Of Poquoson, Buried June 20th William Bunyan Forrest, 78, of 86 Forrest Road, Poquoson, Va., died at the Riverside Hospital at 12:15 P.M. Saturday, June 20, after a short illness. Born at Poquoson July 25, 1880, Mr. Forrest had been a lifelong member of the Tabernacle Methodist Church and was on the Board of Stewards. He was a resident of the town. He was a member of the Order of Red Men and the Yorktown Council of Junior Order of American Mechanics. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Lee Forrest; four daughters, Mrs. John G. Reveley of Smithfield; Mrs. John B. Graham and Mrs. J. Elwood Forrest of Poquoson; Mrs. Richard B. Prince Jr. of Hampton; one foster daughter, Mrs. Alvah Riggins, of Poquoson; a son, B.F. Forrest, of Hampton; two sisters, Mrs. A.F. Moore and Mrs. George W. Moore, both of Poquoson; three brothers, R.T. Forrest, H.S. Forrest Sr. and Lloyd Forrest, all of Poquoson; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Monday, June 22, at the Tabernacle Methodist Church with the Rev. Mr. Collie officiating, assisted by Rev. Mr. Corbin and Rev. Traynham Topping, of Newport News. Burial was in Peninsula Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Maywood Forrest; Elmer O. Fisher; William F. Reveley, Felton S. Graham, Robert L. Forrest, Ronald Forrest, John B. Graham Jr., and Alvah H. Riggins. Members of the Men's Bible Class were honorary pallbearers.
