Gaskins CARROLLTON - Mary Caroline Gaskins, 70, of Rt. 1, Box 131, died Monday at Riverside Hospital. A native of Bath, N.C., she had been a Peninsula resident since 1948. She was a member of Smithfield Church of Christ and Order of Eastern Star, 127, Smithfield. Survivors include her husband, Stephen H. Gaskins; two daughters, Delores Marie Wood of Goldsboro, N.C., and Alice Westbrook of Newport News; two sons, William Ira Gaskins of Saginaw, Mich., and Stephen Don Gaskins of Newport News; two sisters, Betsy Cutler of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Pentrolia Tripp of Newport, N.C.: 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A funeral was to be held today, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. at Smithfield Church of Christ with burial following at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News. An Order of Eastern Star service was held yesterday at Peninsula Funeral Home.
