News Received Of Mrs. Griggs' Death 

  News has been received in Suffolk of the death in Newport News of Mrs. 
Elizabeth Walker Griggs, wife of Orlando Griggs, formerly of Nansemond County. 

  Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the First 
Congregational Christian Church in Newport News.  Burial will be in Greenlawn 
Cemetery.

Her parents, John WALKER & Elizabeth Mildred (FREEMAN WALKER; Mrs. Moses)

Elizabeth & Orlando m. 16 Jan 1923.  (Newport News #14) 

Her father (1868 - 1938), an immigrant from Ireland, worked in the shipyard 
   as a riveter. 

Her in-laws, Caleb & Coreene M. (LUKE) GRIGGS, are buried in 
   Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery.
