HOPKINS NEWPORT NEWS -- A funeral service for William Addison Hopkins, 67, of 541 Hallmark Drive, formerly of Suffolk, was conducted at the graveside in Peninsula Memorial Park at 2 p.m. Wednesday. He was head of the engineering department of Virginia Electric and Power Company, Suffolk, for several years and was an active member of Main Street United Methodist Church. A veteran of World War II, he was retired district superintendent of the Alleghany District of Vepco and was a retired U.S. Air Force Reserve Major. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Susie Roberts Hopkins; a son, William Roberts Hopkins of Martinsville; two brothers, Maury L. Hopkins of Atlanta, Ga., and Frayser Hopkins of Richmond; and a sister, Mrs. James Conway of Richmond.
