All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LILLIAN MAY DOWDY JUSTICE Mrs. Lillian May Justice, 65, of 2415 Chestnut Ave., Newport News, died at 7:05 yesterday morning in Mary Immaculate Hospital after an illness of three weeks. A native of Powhatan County, she had been a Peninsula resident for 25 years. Mrs. Justice was the widow of James A. Justice. She was employed by Garner's Funeral Co. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Carroll E. Keen of Newport News; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Mullens of Washington and Mrs. Margaret Bolt of Richmond; four brothers, E.M. Dowdy of Newport News, W.G. Dowdy of Portsmouth and B.J. Dowdy and J.A. Dowdy, both of Richmond, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 tomorrow afternoon in Second Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Leland N. Edmunds, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will be in Peninsula Funeral Home until 12:30 tomorrow afternoon when it will be placed in the church. Lillian May (DOWDY; Mrs. James A.)
