[sic*] Jones were conducted today at 4 p.m. at the Peninsula Funeral Home, Newport News, by the Rev. E.E. Rutledge, pastor of Hampton Memorial Baptist Church. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Newport News. Mrs. Jones, 60, died Tuesday at 5 a.m. at Obici Memorial Hospital after an illness of eight months. She was a native of Bluefield, W.Va., and a daughter of Cannon French and Mrs. Nannie Craft French. She had resided in Suffolk for several years. Prior to that she had lived 30 years in Newport News. She is survived by her husband, Bennie R. Jones, and two foster daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Constant and Mrs. Hazel Gibson, all of Suffolk.
