Little, 81, To Be Buried Wednesday, Feb. 9 Funeral services for Mrs. Emmet [sic; Emmette] Parr Little, 81, native of Suffolk, and a former resident of Smithfield, who died Sunday night in Newport News, where she has resided since 1918, will be held on Wednesday, February 9th, at 2:30 PM at her residence, The Wellington Apartments, West Avenue, Newport News. The deceased is survived by six daughters, Mrs. E. Arthur Gee, Jr., Mrs. Lois E. Grinnan, Mrs. E. Rutledge Savage, Mrs. Willis T. Chapman, Sr., Mrs. Leslie Johnson, Mrs. A.R. Eley, of Newport News, Mrs. R.J. Fairbank, New York; two sons, Royall Little, Benn's Church, and Vance Little, Newport News; one sister, Mrs. Hattie F. Holland; two nieces, Mrs. C.E. Rudolphi and Virgie Leggett, of Norfolk; eighteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The deceased was the wife of the late Emmette W. Little of Smithfield. The Isle of Wight Co. D.Reg. (1871 #36) actually gives Jordan A. Her widowed mother, Mary Emily (VELLINES) PARR (1837 - 1923), daughter of Abram R. & Mary A. (STEPHENSON) VELLINES, 2m. Jno.R. GWALTNEY, 5 Jun 1879. She is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
