Now Know ye that too with the devise and causes of the Counsell of State accordingly Give and Grant unto Jacob Barnes lives in the Isle of Wight County two hundred and fifty _____ of Land lying in the woods from wards the head of the Southern branch of Elizabeth River in the County of Lower Norfolk Beginning at a white oaks a corner tree of John Corporue, and Running North by West fifty eight poles to a Cypress by __ Cypress Swamp, the againe from the first mentioned white oak, and Running South by East two hundred & forty poles to Corporues marks trees to a Maple his Corner tree, then continuing the course South by East ninety Eight poles to a Maple in Sylvesters Line then on his Line East by North one hundred & twos poles to a Slabe, then North by West three hundred ninety six poles by _____ ____ into the Cypress Swamps, then West by South one hundred & two poles to the first mentioned cypress And two by and for the Transportation of ______ ______ into this Colony where names are in the Records _______ & under this Pattens To Have and to Hold &c.
