  Written: March 23, 1666

  To all people to whom this present writing shall come, I William Basnet and 
  Jane Basnet of the parish of Lynnhaven in the County of Lower Norfolk County 
  plantor send greeting in our Lord God knows you that I William Basnet and Jane 
  have by those present do for ? ? ? so ? ? thorounto ? and  ? for ? in 
  consideration of a some of tobacco to be paid in hand the receipt where of ? 
  knowledge give grant bargain sell ? ? and transfer unto John Lawrence of the 
  parish aforesaid to his heirs or Exer Adm or every part and parcel of a tract 
  of land lying and adjoining on the side upon the head of Luciou? Bay and on 
  the other side upon the tract of land commonly called Kenys? to have and to 
  hold the said tract of land with all the rights privlidge profitt ? ? ?
  what ? ? Uunto him the said John Lawrence his ? ? ? ? assigns forever fully 
  and freely ? ? all ? and ? ? as I the said William and Jane may or might have 
  done by virtue of our deed of gift To us granted and we dou hereby ? ? unto ? 
  the aid John Lawrence ? and ? ? ? to his heirs execut admis all that tract of 
  land before ? in the said parish aforesaid as that ? ? ? ? ? ? are hereby from 
  all right to the land in or for any part or ? of the said tract of land.  I 
  hereby ? and grant to him the said Jh Lawrence ? for ? from ? ? ? the said 
  William and Jane do hereby ? promise and agree and obldge our selfe aour heirs 
  Exer? ? and ? to ? ? and ? the said tract of land ? ? for him the said 
  Lawrence his heirs Ex?, ? and ? any all and every ? ? whatsoever ? 
  shall ? ........23d of March the yare of our God 1666.  Signed and sealed in
