All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Mike Schoettle schoettlefamily@comcast.net November 6, 2007, 8:45 pm Written: June 15, 1674 Recorded: October 25, 1670 To To all Christian people to those present shall come wee Will Basnett and Sarah Basnett of Lower Norfolk County lend greeting in our Lord God everlasting know ye that we the said William Basnett and Sarah Basnett for duo consideration ? ? unto ?, good and valuable, have given granted bargained and sould and by those present dou give grant bargaine and sell assigne and ? unto James Hawkins of the same county aforesaid a parcel or tract of land lying or situating in Roode beginning at a ? line of marked trees, and soe running east to a small Gult?, bee twist that and the sea side, bounding upon two great branches it belonging to the said Basnetts grand patton together with all houses orchards, gardens, ? and ? whatsoever. ? unto belong or in any ways ? to have and to hold the said land with the ? and all profitss ? unto belong to him the said James Hawkins his heyers Exocs admistrators for ever and the aforesaid Wm Basnett Segr and Sarah Basnett his wife ? for them your heyres exocutors administrators or assigns con? ? and grant to and with the said James Hawkins his heyres exoc administrators or assigns that the aforesaid land and all others ? ? ? free from all manner slaes ? or ? whatever and that his ? good right and full power and lawfull authority to sell and convey the land to the aforesaid James Hawkings his heyres and assigns and that wee will from time to time and all times hereafter warrant him in his quiet and peaceable position of all and singular the premises and defend him from the claime of all or any person or persons that shall or may lany any clayme right ? or ? from by or under them or any of them, or any other or means whatever, in wittnes whereof wee the said William Basnett and Sarah Basnet have here unto sett our hands and seal this 15th day of June in the year of ourt Lord 1674.
