All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Mike Schoettle schoettlefamily@comcast.net November 6, 2007, 8:47 pm Written: August 16, 1680 Bee it known unto all people to whom those present shall come that I William Basnett Senr of the parish of Linhaven in the County of Lower Norfolk plantor being lawfully possessed with a certain tract of land by pattont lying in the county of Lower Norfolk containing eleven hundred acres a certain parcell of which tract of land I the said Wm Basnett Senr have with the full free and vollontary consent of my wife Sarah Basnett for valuable consideracon by mee received where with hold my selfe satisfied contented orpaid have given granted bargained soulddelivered posessed and doe by those presents from me my heires execut administrators or assigns sell deliver alleniate and sett over unto Henry Woodhouse his heirs execut administrators or assigns a certain parcell of land situated lying and being in the county of Lower Norfolk, commonly called by the name of Georges quarter ? a neck of land lying between two cricks running south or south west in to the woods from the main crick and marked with a line of marcked trees from the head of the one crick to the the head of the other crick the said land to have and to hould unto the said Henry Woodhouse his heires executors administrators or assigns for ever with all the rights and privilidges their unto belonging either of fowling fishing hawking or hunting all manner of woods or timber or what else ? unto the said land and I the said Wm Basnett dou hearby those presents bind my selfe my heirs executors adminstrators or assigns that the said Henry Woodhouse his heires executors administrators or assigns shall and may from time to time for ever quietly and peacably injoy the said land with all rights and privilidges thereunto belonging without any lott trouble sutie molestation denial or hindrance either of mee or any other person or persons whatsoever that may or shall lay any claime or tithe theire unto either by from or under mee and I the said William Basnett for once my heirs executors administrators or assigns doth ccovenant and agree with the said Henry Woodhouse that the said land ? hearby sould unto him his heires executors adminstrators or assigns is free from all former deeads gifts grants or any other income ? whatsoever had made or done by mee the said William Basnett or any other ? by or under me in wittness whereof I have hearunto sett my hand and seale this twentieth day of May 1680.
