Written: November 18, 1686

Be it known unto all men by those present that I William Basnett Senr of the 
County of Lower Norfolk do by and with the consent of my wife Sarah Basnet 
sell assinge and make over unto Adam Hayes and his heirs all my whole righs 
title and ? of that dividend or tract of land lying and being in the parish of 
Linhaven in the County of LowerNorfolk ? fore said commonly called and known 
by the name of Rudee being in all eight hundred acres of land as may appear by 
patton bearing date the twenty eight day of May in the year of our lord god 
one thousand six hundred fify eight with all rights and priviledges there unto 
belonging ? on small parcell or tract of land that I formerly sold unto James 
Hackings and his heirs, which is laid out by marked trees and likewise another 
small tract of land that I ? sold unto Edward Ould and his heires for ever 
shich is all recorded divided and laid out by marked trees and for all the 
remainder of the foresaid plantation or tracts of land with all housing 
orchards fences and other priviledges there unto belonging unto  Adam Hayes 
and his heires for ever and do warant the sal of the said plantation or tract 
of land to be goo unto the said Hayes and his heirs and free from any 
incomberance what so eer or mollestation by any person or persons what sover 
in consideration whereof  I do acknowlede to have received of the sadi Adam 
Hays two negros and ten pounds sterling  having received part in hand and 
bills taken or the ? in wittness where of I have heareunto sett my hand and 
seal this eighteenth day of November Ann Domin 1686.  Signed Wm Basnett and 
seal (his mark).  Sealed and delivered in presents of us Robert Lane, John 
Sanford.  Acknowledged in Court by the said Basnet and Geo Newton att of Sarah 
Basnet 30th November 1686.  Test Wm. Porten Cl Court.
