Lord King James the second: Betweene Wm Basnett son and heir of Wm Basnett deceased of Linhaven parish Lower Norfolk County plantor of the one part and Jacob Johnson of the County and parish aforesaid of the other part wittnes those ye said Wm Basnett for ? ? and good causes him thereunto moving as also for valuable considoration and folland equivalent satisfaction in hand made and paid to him by the said Jacob Johnson hath given granted bargained sold asigned ? and made out unto ye aforesd Jacob Johnson all that tract parcel or division of land that was by pattent bearing date the nin day of October one thousand six hundred seventy and five granted to Wm Basnet the father of Wm Basnet the ? commonly called Colchester. Containing one thousand one hundred and nine acres involve? Road sixteen pole one half & is bounded according to an exact survey as large received in ye aforesd mentioned patent with all and singular the advantages of wood, woodland, pasturs fooding, medows marshes springs pools watercourses fishing, houing outhouse buildings ? fencing orchard gardens fruit trees bridges wagon easements and all and every their conveinces? Improvements advantages and a ? provided always and is in the true intent and meaning all that whereas Wm Basnett ye father did in his life time convey and alien? som part of the afore nominated land by deed acknowledges and ? in court the just quantity where of not being known the ? as this ? is agreed on and intended hereby that said land, togother with the conviences and ? bonafide sold and conveyed by deed legally as known for good in court and recorded thereby the quantity more or less to any person or persons by Wm Basnett the father in his lifetime shall and hereby is for ? excluded ? ? of the said eleven hundred and nine acres twelve road sixteen poles one half of land in ye above received patton mentioned and contained and is nott to be held ? or intended to be any part of the premises or apparonan? Hereby granted or conveyed by the ? Wm Basnet the sone; Jacob Johnson any cause or article ? give this deed fore mentioned in any in any wise to ye contrary not withstanding to have and to hold all the above cited land in ye sd pattons, mentioned Contained except as a fore excepted together with all singular ye app? Improvements priviledges for consideraton & advantage from ye sd Wm Basnett That ? ? his heirs to him the said Jacob Johnson & to his heirs and assigns forever with out ye lott hinderances molestation or trouble of him ye said William Basnet the grantor or any person or persons by from or under him ye said Basnet or his heirs or any other person or persons by his or their or by any of their cons? Procurement ? ? or suforance and ye said Wm Basnet ye grantor doth hereby for himself His heirs convenances ? and wish the sd Jacob Johnson his heirs or assigns to ? ? sd land and keep them Every of them? Harmless? from any person or persons claiming rights to or ? in any part of the granted premises or ? unto ? and honorably from any former bargains said grant or conveyances at any time or times or to any person or persons affirmed to made or ? this grantor. From all in ? or ? what ? and ye sd Wm Basnet this ? ? for ? covenant for him ? ? his heirs ? or they to go then to his now wife Frances Shall & will appear at the next court held on for this county of Lower Norfolk & then and there before the justices acknowleded this deed & that ye sd Francis wife to ye Wm Basnet shall freely & readily relinquish rights of dower in & to ye land & appurtenance at any time hereafter whom ? as Shall by advise of ye learned in the law be found ? for ? ? ? & due performance of the ? of this deed.
