Written: September 10, 1664

To all to whom whereas now then ye that I the said Sir William Berkely do give 
and grant unto Mr. William Basnett five hundred and ten acres of land lying 
and being in the County of Lower Norfolk upon the northern branch of Curratuck 
known by the name of Colchester bounded south upon a small creek and running 
up the said creek west over a small gull including a small neck of land called 
George Indians Quarter thence orth along the said creek one hundred and eighty 
five poles to a Great White Marsh and thence east including a mall neck of 
land dividing this land from Richard Selby according to his draft.  The said 
land being due unto the said Mr. William Basnett by and for the transportation 
of eleven persons into this Colony to have and to hold to be held yielding 
and ? provided.  Dated the 10th of September 1664.  Trans of 11 pers:  Rober, 
Powes, Sr., Robert Powes, Jr., Mary Budman, Richard Hopham, Wm. Jeremie, John 
Wartan, Martha Fennel, Penelope Burke, Wm. Basnetts wife, James Miller, Will.
