Written: December 8, 1658

To all those whereas now know ye that I the said Samuel Mathew Esq, give and 
grant unto William Basnett Eight hundred acres of land ?, lying and being in 
the Count of Lower Norfolk and lying upon the seaboard side.  Beginning at a 
marked white oak running south 400 poles to a marked white oak at the head of 
the great ponds, thence west into the main woods 320 poles thence north 400 
poles thence east 320 poles to the seaboard side to the first station.  The 
said land being due unto the said William Basnett by and for the 
transportation of sixteen persons.  Which payment is to be made seven years 
after the first sixty of the rights in the office being the 8th of December 
1656.  Dated the 28th of May 1658.  Trans of 16 pers: Rob. Persephers, & his 
sonne, Jno. Hasnet, Tho. Dickson, Martin Coale, Amy Morris, Eliz. Bonden, 
Gilbert Fouch, Richd Satton, Jone Cornix, Martha Conix, Wm. Cornix, Tho 
Cornix, Jane Symons
