April 29, 1794-Elizabeth Snail applied to the Court which listed Thomas Snail as 
deceased, and was given 15 pounds per annum: Snail died a pensioner of the 
state, but no date given.

I do with advice of the Council hereby certify that Elizabeth Snail is continued 
on the list of pensioner with an allowance of 15 pounds yearly, commencing on 
the first day of January 1794.  Given under my hand as Governor of the 
Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond this 8th day of November 1796.
