The Virginian Pilot Friday May 4, 1934
Mrs. Minerva Ellen Brabble aged 75, died yesterday morning at 1:20 o'clock at 
her residence 819 Clay avenue. She was the widow of Dennis Brabble and is 
survived by a daughter, Mrs. J.B. Richardson, of Norfolk; a son, J.H. Land, of 
Princess Anne County; a stepson, L.W. Brabble; a brother, Robert Bodwell of 
Norfolk; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a native of 
Colunbia, N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 47 years. 
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Spurgeon 
Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
