Hinton, and daughter of the late Rev. Robert N. and Fanny Carey Sledd, died Thursday night at 8:15 o'clock at Ashland, Va. Mrs. Hinton was a former resident of Norfolk. Surviving her are one sister, Miss Jennie P. Sledd, of Ashland; two brothers, Dr. Andrew Sledd, of Atlanta, Ga., Howard Sledd, and a number of nieces and nephews, among these being, Hunter Sledd, of Richmond; E.L. and C.M. Graves of Norfolk. Services will be held at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, today at 12 o'clock noon, with the Rev. Roscoe M. white, D.D., pastor of Ghent M.E. Church, officiating. ************************************************ Mrs. Nannie Sledd Hinton - Services for Mrs. Hinton, widow of James W. Hinton, whose death occurred Thursday at Ashland, Va., were held yesterday at noon at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, with the Rev. Roscoe M. White, D.D., pastor of Ghent M.E. Church, officiating. The casket was covered with clusters of dahlias and ferns, and there were many other floral offerings. The pallbearers were Dr. R. R. Walker, E. L. Graves, Charles M. Graves, Richard H. Powell, J. W. Grandy, Jr. and Leonard R. Graves.
