Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, March 29, 1993 
Russell E. ``Big Bad'' Johnson, 29, of the 1500 block of Sinoe Place, a
carpenter, died March 25, 1993, in Norfolk.

Mr. Johnson was born in Norfolk. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include a daughter, Ebony Matthews of Norfolk; his mother, Marie
Johnson of Norfolk; four sisters, Valerie Johnson, Beverly Land, Debra Johnson
and Charlene Johnson, all of Norfolk; four brothers, Charles Johnson, Nathan
Johnson, Daniel Johnson and John Johnson, all of Norfolk; his grandmother, Marie
Foster of Norfolk; and a host of relatives and other friends.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Metropolitan Funeral Service
by the Rev. Hiram White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends will
assemble with the family at 1507 Sinoe Place, Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Wednesday for
a funeral processional to the chapel.
