He was a son of the late Walter and Mrs. Verna Lee McCoy and was born in Norfolk. He was employed at Norfolk Naval Air Station 18 years. He was a member and usher of Queen Street Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gladys McCoy' three sons, Freddie McCoy, USA, Korea, and Joseph McCoy and Vincent McCoy of Norfolk; and four daughters, Misses Mildred McCoy, Jean McCoy, Nancy McCoy and Carolyn McCoy of Norfolk. The body was taken to Graves Funeral Home. Additional Comments: NORFOLK - A funeral service for Joseph McCoy, 37, of 1019 Tunstall Ave., who died Tuesday, will be held in Queen Street Baptist Church Sunday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. J. Jasper Freeman, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
