Lucille Akers Munden, 100, a former Peninsula resident, died Friday, Jan. 12, 
in Norfolk. 
A native of Rocky Mount, N.C., Mrs. Munden was a member of Park Place United 
Methodist Church, Norfolk. Survivors include a daughter; two sons; a sister; 
three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will 
be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk , by the Rev. 
Frank Drake. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at 
Holloman-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Norfolk. The family 
requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the 
Willowwood Presbyterian Church Living Garden Memorial, Norfolk.
