CHESAPEAKE - Roosevelt Riddick, a retired contractor and a native of Perquimans
County, N.C., died Saturday in his home at 2233 Centerville Turnpike.

H was a member of Solid Rock Disciples Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Katie R. Griffin and Hazel R. Johnson, both of
Norfolk, and James Kelley Riddick of Chesapeake; three sisters, Lizzie Whibble and
Pearl Jackson, Both of Hertford, N.C., and Helen Felton of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a
brother, Josephus Riddick of Norfolk; 23 grandchildren; and 28 great0granchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Solid Rock Disciples Church by
the Rev. James Cooper. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today in E.A. Hughes Funeral Home, Norfolk.
