HERALD - 1822, April 22, page 3 - Died, on Thursday evening last, at the residence of ThomasBrooks, near Portsmouth, Mrs. Sarah Brooks, widow of the late Mr. John Brooks, of Portsmouth. HERALD - 1829, April 17, page 37 - Married in Portsmouth last evening by the Rev. Mr.Sherwood, Mr. William Brooks to Miss Mary, eldest daughter of Capt. William Benthall. HERALD - 1829, December 25, page 104 - Died, in Norfolk county, on Friday evening, the 17thinst. after a protracted and painful complication of diseases, which she bore with Christianfortitude and patient resignation to the will of her divine master, Mrs. Frances Brooks, consort ofThomas Brooks, Esq., aged 56 years. Mrs. Brooks was one of the most amiable among womenand filled with capable distinction, the various relations of companion, parent, mistress andfriend.
