Will, Book No. 2, 1772-1788, ORIG. 68 3570 John Dunn Will 1777 Norfolk Co., VA In the name of God Amen. I John Dunn being weak of Body but of sound mind and memory & knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do dispose of my Worldly Effects in the following manner (viz.) Item. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Dunn my two Negro men known by the names of James and Joe, a Negro women Milly and a Negro---- as also all every kind of my household goods of every sort whatsoever together with my lot of land in the Burrough of Norfolk which is my Will and Desire that my said Wife Sarah Dunn shall have and enjoy every part and parcel during her Life and then my will is that my Estate shall be sold to the best advantage and the Money to be equally divided between my children Elizabeth Russell, Mary Dunn, Sarah Dunn, James Dunn, Anne Dunn and John Dunn Excepting my gunn and Silver Shoe Buckles which I give to my son James and my silver watch I give to my son John and my desire is that my wife may if she thinks proper sell the above Negro James and dispose of the Money arising as she thinks best and my will and desire is that my wife Sarah to be my Exerx and my trusty friends Scarborough Tankard and Samuel Tomlinson my Execrs. Of this my last will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal in Norfolk County, in Virginia, the twenty second day February in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred & Seventy Six.
