Abad of 2837 Glasgow street was given a funeral service Wednesday in Corprew Funeral Chapel by the Rev. J. N. Green. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. He died June 19 in a hospital. A native of Olongapo Zambales, Phillippines, he was a World War 1 veteran and worked 23 years at the Commissioned Officers Mess of Norfolk Naval Base. He was the husband of the late Lucy M. Abad. Surviving are a son, Antonio P. Abad of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. Cecelia B. Canady of Portsmouth and Mrs. Lennice B. Brehon of New York; a brother, Valeria E. Abad of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren.
