ABIOUNESS NORFOLK - Violette Azar Abiouness, 84, of the 4100 block of Beach Ave., died Oct. 20, 1989, in a hospital. Mrs. Abiouness, a native of Beirut, Lebanon, was the widow of Younis Ellis Abiouness. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Christ Child Society and Riverview Garden Club. She was an active volunteer with St. Mary's Infant Home and Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Pierre of Montreal; a son, Alfred E. Abiouness of Norfolk; and two grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A wake service will be at 5 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St., Memphis, Tenn., Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, Norfolk, or to a favorite charity.
