Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 3, 1941

Mrs. Elizabeth Allen Abraham, aged 62, widow of Charles Allen Abraham, a 
resident of Norfolk for the past 11 years, died yesterday morning at 9:03 
o'clock at a local hospital. She resided at 37 West Ocean View Avenue. Surviving 
her are five daughters, Mrs. F.R. Penatil, Miss Mary Allen, Mrs. Julia Matta, 
Miss Rosa Allen and Mrs. A.C. Gordon and one son, George Allen Abraham, all of 
Norfolk; one niece and one nephew. The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to Holy Trinity Catholic Church for 
services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. 
Rosary services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8 
o'clock.

Mrs. Elizabeth Allen Abraham - Funeral services for Mrs. Abraham, widow of 
Charles Allen Abraham who died Saturday morning at a local hospital, were held 
at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. 
Robert B. Kealey, pastor, officiating, the subject of his address at the 
conclusion of the Mass being "Motherhood".  During the service Miss Mildred 
Meath sang "Jesus Keep Me Close to Thee", "Panis Angelicus" and "Abide With Me".  
There was a large attendance and many floral offerings.  The casket was covered 
with a pall of orchid gladioli and fern.  Interment was in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.
The pallbearers were S.H. Roberts, Porter Trimble, Mack McCurry, Eugene Vestal, 
Tony Vatala and E.R. Bartlett.
