Norfolk Landmark May 9, 1921
Mrs. Annie Maria Ackerly, widow of C.R.C. Ackerly, died at 6:25 o’clock 
yesterday morning at the residence, 835 West Thirty-Sixth Street. She is 
survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lillie Holt, Mrs. Alice Cheatwood, and Mrs. 
Berta Doyle, all of Norfolk; one son John Ackerly of Raleigh, N.C.; five 
grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 
at the residence at 4:30 o’clock this afternoon. Burial will be in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery
