Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark August 10, 1920

George V. Adams, aged 66, died at a local infirmary early yesterday morning. He 
was a native of Elmira, N.Y., but had lived in Norfolk for the past thirty-five 
years. He was a member of the Park Avenue Presbyterian Church. He is survived by 
his wife, Mrs. Margaret J. Adams; two sons, Bernard G. Adams, of Rochester, N.Y. 
and Charles V. Adams, of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. H.C. Peterson, of Norfolk 
and Mrs. D.J. Stevens, of Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be conducted 
Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the funeral apartments of H.D. Oliver. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

ADAMS, GEORGE V.  – On Monday, August 9, 1920, at 4:20 o’clock a.m., GEORGE V. 
ADAMS, in the 67th year of his age.
Services at H. D. Oliver’s funeral apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, 
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON at 3:30 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to 
attend.
