Norfolk Journal and Guide, April 6, 1963
Mrs. Emma Snipes Adams of 1308 Outten street, a Suffolk native who lived in 
Norfolk 55 years, recently was given final rites at Jones Funeral Home. 
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harris. Before her final 
illness she was employed by the Norfolk and Western Railroad.

Mrs. Adams is survived by a son, William (Bill) Snipes of New York; two 
grandsons, Charles Snipes of New York and William Snipes Jr. of Norfolk; and 
a close friend, Mrs. Mary Cuffee of New York.
