Virginian Pilot September 5, 1965 

James Preston Adams, 94, of 264 Lucille Ave. died Saturday in a hospital. A 
native of Onancock, he was the son of James Thomas M. and Mrs. Mary F. Adams and 
the husband of the late Mrs. Etta Price Adams.
He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and lived here 85 years. He was an 
honorary life member of Elizabeth Masonic Lodge 34 and a retired Norfolk Naval 
Shipyard draftsman.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frances A. Sims of Norfolk, a granddaughter 
and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. 
Raleigh Eagle. The body is at Cox Funeral Home.
