Little Mattie L. Adams, six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.  E. D. Adams, 
departed this life Sunday, December 16, 9:15 p.m.  Although she had been 
sick nearly two weeks her death was a great shock to all.  She was a little 
sunbeam to the Adams, and loved by all with whom she came in contact.  No 
one can ever take the place of little Mattie in the home of the Adams.

There’ll be no one to climb on Dad’s 
Lap to comb his hair.
Or to sit by him and read in her little chair.
Since Mattie has said Farewell to all

No one to say, “Mother may I go out 
  Out to play?
I’ll not be gone very long today.”

Since Mattie has said Farewell to all

Little Mattie is survived by her parents, other relatives and a host of 
friends who will miss her always.
