Adams of 2720 Chesterfield Blvd., a daughter of Mrs. Mary Francis Harrell and a native of Belhaven, N.C., died Thursday in hospital. She worked for Pembroke Auto Sales and was formerly employed by Phillips Oldsmobile for five years. She was a Baptist. Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Mary Adams of Orange, N.J.; two sons, Army Sgt. Dwight E. Johnson of Norfolk, stationed in West Germany, and Ray Adams of Wisconsin; four sisters, Mrs. Viola Green, Mrs. Shirley Lance, and Mrs. Dorothy Harrell of Belhaven, and Mrs. Mildred Clayton of Norfolk; a brother, Herman Harrell of Belhaven; and eight grandchildren. A funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Henry Nixon Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A Christian Wake will be held in the funeral home Sunday night from 7 to 8.
