NORFOLK - Herbert Adams of 932 Avenue I, a native of Belhaven, N.C., died 
Tuesday in a nursing home.

Adams had retired as a construction worker. He was a member of Zion Light 
Church.

Survivors include his wife, Georgiana Epps Adams; a daughter, Jestine A. 
Pendergrass of Chesapeake; a son, Benjamin Adams of Grand Rapids, Mich.; six 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Macedonia Holiness Church by 
the Rev. Anthony T. Moses. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. E.A. Hughes 
Funeral Home is in charge.

The family will be at 824 Drawbridge Drive, Chesapeake.
