Adams, for many years a member of Colley Memorial Presbyterian Church and a prominent member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, died suddenly at her home, No. 406 West Fairfax Avenue, last night at 10 o'clock in her eighty-second year. She is survived by two sons, J. Preston Adams and Roger P P. Adams, both of Norfolk. Mrs. Adams was a native of Maryland but had resided in Norfolk for about 25 years. She was the widow of James T. M. Adams. Besides her two sons she is survived by two brothers who live in Maryland, and a step-daughter, in Cape Charles. She has been a member of Colley Memorial Presbyterian Church for nearly 25 years and a prominent member of the local W. C. T. U. and had a deep influence in her church and community. The funeral of Mrs. Mary F. Adams was held from the Colley Memorial Presbyterian Church at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. R. A. Robinson, pastor of the church. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
