Virginian Pilot February 12, 1958

Mrs. Ella Burroughs Adams, 74, wife of Benjamin T. Adams, died at a Norfolk 
hospital yesterday at 2:50 a.m.  Besides her husband, she is survived by 
three daughters, Mrs. T.F. Booker, Jr., and Mrs. John W. Freeman, both of 
Norfolk and Mrs. J. Earl Hudgins of Newport News; four sons, Harry T. 
Burroughs and Linwood J. Burroughs, both of Norfolk, Charles Wilton 
Burroughs of Rich Square, N.C. and Carlton H Burroughs of Murfreesboro, 
N.C.; 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Adams was a native of Edenton, N.C. and had been a resident of Norfolk 
for 60 years, residing at 4911 Colonial Ave.  She was a member of the Park 
Place Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 3 p.m.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will assemble at the residence of Harry T. Burroughs, 515 
Mayflower Dr.
