Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark June 1, 1929

Mrs. Laura Nelson Adcock, aged 35, died last night at 7:05 o'clock at the 
residence, 831 Maltby Avenue. Mrs. Adcock was a native and well known resident 
of Norfolk. Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Nelson, she is survived by 
two children, Ernest G. and Hugh N. Adcock and five sisters, Mrs. W.H. Fowle, of 
Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs. M.H.. Gilbert, Mrs. J.R. Turner, Mrs. H.O. Freeman and 
Mrs. R.H. Copperthite, all of Norfolk.
Mrs. Adcock was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and of the Women's 
Benefit Association.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church tomorrow afternoon 
at 3 o'clock, the Rev. Henry W. Dowding and the Rev. Norman E. Taylor will 
officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

1929, at 7:05 o’clock p.m., LAURA NELSON ADCOCK, daughter of T. J. and Laura 
Gillis Nelson, in the 36th year of her age.
Funeral services at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.
