U. Addenbrook & Son, masonry contractors, died Tuesday afternoon in a hospital. A native of England, he had lived in this area since he was 3. He was the husband of Mrs. Bernice Greene Addenbrook and a son of John Underhill and Mrs. Julia Alice Turner Addenbrook. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a 48-year member of Norfolk Kiwanis Club, and a member of Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, Engineers Club of Hampton Roads, Norfolk Executive Club, and Norfolk Contractors Association. Besides his widow, he is survived by four nieces, Mrs. Joseph M. Commander of Norfolk, Mrs. Glenwood Smith of Newport News, Mrs. William D. Kellogg of New York and Mrs. Ward Freeman of Washington; and three nephews, Edward Haycox Jr. and J. Arthur Addenbrook Jr. of Norfolk, and E. Ashley Haycox of St. Thomas, V.I. The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to First Presbyterian Church for a funeral service Thursday at 3 p.m. by Dr. Andrew R. Bird, the Rev. H. Wilson, and the Rev. Richard S. Ruggles. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family has requested that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to Tidewater Westminster Homes for the Elderly.
