Virginian-Pilot September 29, 1949
Thomas Addison, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died yesterday at 12:45 a.m. at a 
Norfolk hospital after a long illness.
He is survived by three sons, Thomas Addison, Jr., Herman Addison and Clarence L. 
Addison, all of Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. Mary McDermott, of Portsmouth; 12 
grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was a retired city employee, having worked for the city more than 50 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home this morning 
at 11 o’clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
