The Virginian-Pilot, Thursday, April 4, 1963

CHESAPEAKE - Mrs. Sarah V. Addison, 75, of 617 Great Bridge Blvd. died Tuesday 
in her home after a long illness.

A native of Northampton County, she was a daughter of Jacob and Mrs. Leah Upshur 
and the widow of William H. Addison. She was a n ordained elder in Pentecostal 
Holiness Church.

Surviving are two sons, Isaac Addison of Chesapeake and Charles B. Addison of 
Philadelphia; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Nicholson of Willow Grove, Pa., and Mrs. 
Rebecca Bascum of Philadelphia; a sister, Mrs. Maggie walker of Merchantville, 
N.C.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Pentecostal Holiness 
Church by the Rev. Thad Godfrey. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with 
Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
