Thomas, 22 Clifton street, Berkley ward, Norfolk, Va., Wednesday morning, February 19, 1913, at 5:40 o'clock, CLARENCE EDGAR ADKINS, son of Joseph and Mrs. Delphia Anne Adkins, aged 31 years, eight months and one day. The funeral takes place at the above residence this (THURSDAY) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Friends of the family respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Magnolia cemetery. ************************************** Clarence E. Adkins, 32 years old, died yesterday morning at 5:40 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. W. Thomas, 22 Clifton street, after a lingering illness. He was a native of Edgecomb county, N.C. and was a son of Joseph and Mrs. Delphia Anne Adkins and had been a resident of this city sixteen years. Besides his parents he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. S.T. Tolston, Mrs. Isaac Robertson, Mrs. W. Thomas and Mrs. Clarence Ambrose. The funeral will be conducted at the residence this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. W.R. Flannagan, pastor of Berkley avenue Baptist church. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery. *************************** The funeral of Clarence E. Adkins was conducted at the home of his sister, Mrs. W. Thomas, 22 Clifton street, yesterday afternoon and was well attended. The services were conducted by Rev. W.R. Flannagan, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist church and burial was in Magnolia cemetery. The pall-bearers were: Thomas Bateman, George Kersey, J.H. Watkins, E.T. Price, W.S. Gibbs, A.T. Beale, Walter Briggs.
