V. Ahern, died yesterday at her residence, 2 Chelsea Apartments, 305 North street, Portsmouth. She was a native of Norfolk and spent her entire life in this section. She was a daughter of the late Jules Augustus Morein and Mrs. Sarah Frances Kirby Morein. Her late husband was well known in Norfolk and the Hampton Roads area. He was, for years, conducted with the Virginian-Pilot, being one of the best known members of its advertising department. Mrs. Ahern is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Moss W. Armistead, of Portsmouth, a grandson, Moses W. Armistead, Jr., of Houston, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. Thomas W. Wynne, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held privately this afternoon at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, Norfolk, with the Rev. P. C. Blackburn, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
