Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 21,1977
Norfolk - Vernon Albritton of 1344 Bolton St., a native of St. Brides, 
Norfolk County, died Sunday, May 15 in a hospital.

He worked for Nesson & Rapoport for 21 years.  He was a member of New 
Calvary Baptist Church and Willow Grove Masonic Lodge 198.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Patsy Powell of Portsmouth;  a sister, 
Mrs. Ruth Miller of Baltimore;  four brothers, Nash Albritton and Raymond 
Albritton of St. Brides, Tony Albritton of Richmond, and Samuel Albritton of 
Chesapeake.

A funeral was held Thursday, May 19 in New Calvary Baptist Church by the 
Rev. Oliver Welch.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home 
in charge.
