Norfolk - William Alexander, 69, of 808 Memphis street, who died in a local 
hospital, received final rites recently at Morning Glory Funeral Home.

The Rev. J. Q. A. Lassiter officiated at the service.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery.

A longshoreman for 40 years, Mr. Alexander was a native of Lawrenceville.  He is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Alexander;  a son, Robert Alexander of 
Valentine, VA;  and a sister, Mrs. Martha Davison of Portsmouth.
