Norfolk Virginian Pilot Monday  April 6, 1942
Mary Elizabeth Alexander, infant daughter of Tilton M. and Mrs. Katie Beach 
Alexander, died at a local hospital last night at 8:55 o'clock after an illness of 
16 days.  She is survived in addition to her parents, by two brothers, Cecil 
Thomas and Tilton Godfrey Alexander, both of Norfolk; her maternal grandparents, 
Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Beach, of Greenville, N.C. and her paternal grandparents, Mr. 
and Mrs. R.C. Alexander, of Columbia, N.C.  The body was removed to the Cox 
Funeral Home, 631 Westover avenue, corner Manteo street, pending funeral 
arrangements.
