NORFOLK - Frank Alexander Sr. of 1215 W. 27th St., retired custodian for the 
City of Norfolk and a native of Norfolk, died Sunday in his home.

He was retired for eight years and was the husband of the late Mrs. Ella Mae 
Alexander. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Vivian Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. 
Marion Williams and Mrs. Evelyn Fulton of Norfolk, Mrs. Elziabeth Robinson of 
Chesapeake, and Mrs. Joan Quinn of Virginia Beach; five sons, Herbert Alexander 
and Frank Alexander Jr. of Washington, Harold Alexander of Waldorf, Md., Bruce 
Alexander of Chesapeake, and Joseph Alexander of Atlantic City, N.J.; 52 
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by the 
Rev. J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will have 
visitation at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8 and also will be at the home 
of his daughter, 2816 Candlewood Drive, Chesapeake.
